  After a hard office day (installation of Visual Studio, training, configuration, set up, test, etc. everything meant as preparation for the re-programming of IMMOinvent) in a basically hot office, time was due to have an easy evening ride up to the top of the first jura crest. Temperatures on top were rather cool (chilling due to wind speed). Silence there was once more impressive and in fact relaxing. 

Still amazed about the possibilities a simple bicycle can provide. Even a single-speed bike is sufficient to ride a tour like this in a relaxed way. The only things needed are: some basic weather information (like wind speed and direction, expected air temperature etc.) general tour information (distance, difference in altitude, etc.) … and (most important) a bike that really fits to you and you need to know yourself very well With these preconditions fullfilled there won‘t be any problems to enjoy this tour through Swiss Jura.  Distance: 71 km Difference in altitude: 823 m

... today time was due to return to the road again. As a first trip I choose a part of my former "Hausrunde" (Olten > Solothurn > Biel > Neuchâtel). Conditions were ideal, traffic (except between Biel and Twann) acceptable and immediatedly I understood what I missed the past ten years... and what I did not miss (cars, dust, traffic smell, etc.).  The bike I used is a customised 1994 KLEIN Quantum Pro, equipped with a Industry Nine wheelset (arranged for single speed). Though lacking a gear shift, the speed was amazing. Details of the trip as .gpx  here .  

This morning, exactly with sunrise, time was due to finally complete more than 2000 km biking #jura between april and august.   Ab Solothurn bis Lengnau der Aare entlang, anschliessend Auffahrt auf den Bözingerberg. Teils 15% Steigung, keine Ruhepassage. Anschliessend zügige Abfahrt auf Romont, via Steinbruch zum Jurasüdfuss und retour auf Solothurn. Total: 41 km.

  Blick Richtung Süden, noch straffer Wind aus westlichen Richtungen (jedoch nachlassend). Runde: Langendorf > Lommiswil (Im Holz) > Schwengi > Sülshof (aussen rum) > Lommiswil > Langendorf. 18 km.
